Carrollwood Real Estate

Carrollwood is located North/East of Busch Blvd & Dale Mabry and North/West of downtown Tampa. It was Tampa’s first established subdivision designed in the early 1960’s with no straight streets and offered community amenities like a lake front Recreation Center. The original “Old Carrollwood” roads were laid out to surround the lakes and were named after different types of trees and different types of woods. Later Carrollwood extended to the north into Carrollwood Village and, west to encompass the Lake Magdalene area. As a whole, the area is now commonly referred to Carrollwood.

Most subdivisions inside the Carrollwood are deed restricted in order to maintain its well groomed appearances. The average age of the Carrollwod residences is 37 although Carrollwood has prominent retirement villas and condominiums. In 2007, statistics show Carrollwood’s population is 36,500 and its medium income is $56,000.
